About The Position

The Palantir Communications Team is at the core of helping Palantir share our mission and products with the world. You will contribute to all aspects of our website’s frontend design, content model, marketing software integration, and CI/CD publishing pipeline. You will act on your design instincts to help build the Palantir brand, while working across the business to bring different parts of the organization’s story forward. Our website is intended to be dynamic, showcasing our diverse technological reach into a variety of different industries. It is updated often with news of our products and successes, and our CEO frequently communicates with customers and shareholders via the website. You will work with TypeScript and React, creating the fundamental design principles to help individuals around the company craft frontend experiences which tell their story. Along with creating, you will advise designers and content creators on best web, UX, accessibility and SEO practices. You will work alongside leadership to create and maintain Next.js microsites, starting with mocks, and bringing them through development. Palantir frequently finds itself a target of external threats, owing to the nature of our business. For that reason, our website publication pipeline has strong controls around access and review. You will need the necessary technical skills and creativity to build a site that is both elegant and secure.

Requirements

  • 2 Years of experience with frontend design
  • Web fundamentals: accessibility, performance, uptime, SEO
  • Frontend proficiency: TypeScript, React, Next.js
  • Design/visual competence: Figma fluency, ability to take mocks to production

  • Eye for detail: part of the role is making sure the content being brought forward cleanly aligns with other content on the website
  • Design sensibility: keeping every web touchpoint of the brand coherent and well presented
  • Cross-functional communication: working across the whole business bringing other teams' stories forward; the ability to translate between non-technical stakeholders and implementation matters
  • Juggling priorities: ability to move several projects forward at once without dropping quality on any of them
  • Ownership: this role carries a lot of independence, and with it responsibility for the outcomes that independence produces
  • A drive to raise the level around you: teaching teammates and building things others can run with

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Palantir.com
  • Build and ship Next.js microsites, from mocks through to production
  • Establish and maintain the design system and shared components other content creators build on
  • Advise designers and content creators on web, UX, accessibility, and SEO best practices
  • Iterate with our Legal team on ongoing requirements as laws and the web evolve
  • Work with the rest of the Communications team to drive traffic with brand campaigns
  • Develop, review, and ship within our CI pipeline, maintaining its threat model as risks evolve
