Interactive Strategies is looking for a curious, organized, detail-oriented Web Content Strategy Intern to support our team on digital projects for mission-driven organizations. We're a full-service digital agency based in Washington, DC, known for our work with leading nonprofits, including Special Olympics, American Kidney Fund, Rainforest Trust, and the American Lung Association. You don’t need to come in knowing how to build a content strategy—we’ll teach you. We’re looking for someone who asks thoughtful questions, enjoys making sense of complex information, and is eager to learn how websites are planned, written, and built. You’ll gain practical experience on real digital projects while strengthening your skills in research, writing, content organization, analysis, collaboration, presenting your thinking, and receiving and incorporating feedback. You’ll also see firsthand how content strategy works alongside UX, design, development, strategy, and project management within a digital agency. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in website content strategy, digital communications, UX, writing and editing, SEO and search optimization, and/or nonprofit communications. Our internship program is designed to help early-career professionals build meaningful experience, explore potential career paths, and develop skills they can carry into future roles—whether at Interactive Strategies or elsewhere. Duration: 16–20 weeks, roughly aligned with the fall semester. Schedule: Part-time; anticipated 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility around academic commitments. Flexible on start date. Location: Remote or DC-based, with preference for students from local universities. Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
