AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Web Application Developer to join our Technology Solutions team. This role will support a portfolio of existing FDOT District 2 web applications, SharePoint solutions, Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and related production support needs. The role involves supporting the Technology Solutions team in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing existing FDOT District 2 public-facing, internal, and client-facing applications and business systems. This includes providing application support across traditional .NET web applications, SharePoint Online sites and lists, Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Microsoft Forms, and Microsoft 365-based business processes. The developer will assist with developing web applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET, SQL Server, and Entity Framework, and work with existing application codebases to implement new features, resolve defects, and improve application functionality, usability, and maintainability. Support will also be provided to inherited and legacy systems by learning existing configurations, documenting current behavior, fulfilling enhancement requests, and minimizing disruption to production users. The role also includes developing and maintaining database queries, application data models, and integrations using SQL Server, Entity Framework, and LINQ, as well as creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting SharePoint lists, document libraries, permissions, views, customized forms, and related Microsoft 365 data sources. Development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Power Apps and Power Automate flows are also key responsibilities, including connectors, triggers, run-only permissions, app and flow ownership, error handling, notifications, and SharePoint-backed workflows. Front-end development and maintenance using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and responsive web design practices are required. The developer will use Visual Studio for development, debugging, testing, and maintenance, and Git-based source control for repository management. Assistance will be provided with deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting web applications hosted in Microsoft IIS and Windows Server environments, and diagnosing technical issues across application, web server, database, and browser layers. Responding to production support requests, triaging defects, investigating root causes, coordinating fixes, documenting resolutions, and communicating status to internal project leaders and FDOT stakeholders are essential. Coordination with FDOT Office of Information Technology, SharePoint administrators, Power Platform administrators, and project stakeholders is necessary for access, environment, security, deployment, or tenant-specific issues. Collaboration with developers, analysts, project managers, FDOT staff, and other technical team members is expected to understand requirements, support existing processes, and deliver solutions. Preparation and maintenance of documentation for application features, configurations, data sources, deployment processes, permissions, issue resolutions, and development procedures are also part of the role. Following team standards for coding, testing, source control, security, accessibility, documentation, and application support is required.
