Web Application Developer
About The Position
QVine, an SAIC company, is seeking an experienced Full Stack Web Application Developer to build modern, scalable web applications with AI-driven features. The role combines front-end development with ReactJS and Python backend development, including the design and integration of LLM-powered applications using LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith. The developer will design responsive user interfaces, build scalable backend services and APIs, engineer AI-powered features such as conversational agents and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and contribute to CI/CD and cloud deployment. The role also involves collaborating with cybersecurity teams to incorporate secure development practices and compliance measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and nine or more years of experience, or a master's degree and seven or more years of experience, or a PhD or JD and four or more years of experience.
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Proven experience building production web applications with ReactJS and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience developing backend services and APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith, or comparable LLM orchestration and observability frameworks.
- Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment on AWS or Azure.
- Understanding of secure development practices and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using ReactJS, including state management, component architecture, and integration with RESTful and streaming APIs.
- Develop and maintain scalable Python backend services and APIs supporting front-end and AI-driven functionality.
- Design, implement, and optimize AI-powered features using LangChain and LangGraph, including conversational agents, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and multi-step agentic workflows.
- Build and maintain well-documented APIs connecting front-end applications with backend services and third-party LLM providers.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for code deployment, testing, and release cycles.
- Deploy and maintain web applications and backend services in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments, with attention to availability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to incorporate secrets management, secure API design, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation into the development lifecycle.
