About The Position
Falls Technology is hiring a senior Web Accessibility Developer / Section 508 Specialist to help make mission web applications usable by everyone. The role audits, fixes, and builds accessible interfaces, and teaches development teams how to maintain accessibility. The position is full-time and on-site in McLean, Virginia, with core hours from 9 AM to 3 PM and no travel. An active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph and U.S. citizenship are required.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Hands-on Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA experience.
- Experience testing with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and ZoomText.
- UI development experience.
- Accessibility UX work in Figma or Adobe XD.
- Experience running accessibility audits and developer training.
Nice To Haves
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
- CPACC or CAA certification.
Responsibilities
- Audit web applications against Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA, and track findings through resolution.
- Test with assistive technology, including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and ZoomText.
- Build and remediate accessible user interfaces.
- Review and shape accessible UX designs in Figma or Adobe XD.
- Train developers and designers on accessibility practices.
