Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on M240D machine guns and other associated equipment, mounts, squibs, CAD/PAD, and shop support items in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures and the PWS. This role involves cleaning and corrosion treatment on gun system components, removing and replacing aircraft installed weapons systems components and equipment, and performing flightline functions including preflight and postflight weapons requirements, guard duties, and munitions accountability. The position also requires conducting weapons academy training, providing technical advice, performing Red X and IPI inspections, and operating Ground Support Equipment. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of weapons maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, technical publications, special tools, test equipment, and safety procedures, with an emphasis on good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety.
