Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on M240D machine guns and other associated equipment, mounts, squibs, CAD/PAD, and shop support items in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures and the PWS. This role involves cleaning and corrosion treatment, component removal and replacement, and performing flightline functions including preflight and postflight weapons requirements. The mechanic will document all actions, follow security procedures, and comply with munitions accountability requirements. They will also perform inspections, practice good housekeeping, and apply technical expertise to solve complex problems. Basic helicopter ground handling and operation of Ground Support Equipment are also part of the duties. The position requires knowledge and experience in technical, safety, and environmental issues involving Weapons maintenance, with a comprehensive understanding of Weapons technical procedures. Occasional travel may be required.
