About The Position

Seeking a highly motivated Technology & Business Enablement Lead to join the Citi Wealth Advisory & Investment Technology team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling technology initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment, and managing critical operational aspects across the technology portfolio. This position requires a strong leader with comprehensive understanding of technology operations, risk and controls, financial management, and strategic planning, dedicated to enhancing the value and efficiency of our technology investments. The ideal candidate will drive a culture of operational excellence, implement robust governance frameworks, optimize resource utilization, and translate strategic vision into actionable roadmaps and compelling storyboards that align with business objectives and architectural best practices.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of extensive experience in enterprise-level technology leadership roles, with a strong understanding of application development lifecycles, architectural principles, and operational best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and evaluate complex technology landscapes, including distributed systems, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern development practices (e.g., Microservices, CI/CD).
  • Experience with governance frameworks related to technology infrastructure, data management, and application development.
  • Knowledge of various software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing robust technology risk and control frameworks, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks.
  • Strong background in technology budgeting, financial forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and managing technology spending effectively.
  • Exceptional ability to define technology strategy, create compelling roadmaps, and communicate vision effectively through various formats, including storyboards and executive presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, talent management, resource allocation, and developing strategies for attracting and retaining top technology talent.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing technical teams, diverse business stakeholders, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and communication of the technology strategy and roadmap for Citi Wealth Advisory & Investment Technology, translating complex technical plans into clear, compelling narratives and visual storyboards for diverse audiences, including senior leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously enhance robust risk management and control frameworks across all technology processes and platforms. Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to safeguard assets and data.
  • Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization for technology initiatives. Analyze financial performance, identify opportunities for efficiency, and ensure prudent expenditure of technology budgets to maximize value.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive staffing and resource strategies, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, skill development, and optimal resource allocation across projects and teams. Forecast future talent needs and build capabilities to meet strategic objectives.
  • Drive the adoption and adherence to best practices in technology delivery, risk management, and financial governance across the Wealth Advisory & Investment Technology portfolio. Implement metrics and reporting to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders, product owners, technology teams, and internal audit to translate strategic business requirements into actionable technology enablement plans, ensuring seamless execution and communication.
  • Oversee the end-to-end technology lifecycle, from strategic conceptualization and planning to delivery, operational support, and decommissioning, with a focus on risk mitigation, financial prudence, and resource optimization.
  • Identify and address strategic challenges, operational inefficiencies, and emerging risks, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance technology value, resilience, and overall business enablement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to technology teams, fostering a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and strategic alignment.
  • Partner with architects and engineering leads to ensure that technology solutions are designed and delivered in alignment with strategic objectives, architecture principles, and operational standards.
