About The Position

Kilter Group is seeking a Wealth Advisor to join their team. This is a client-facing role that combines direct client service responsibilities with oversight of day-to-day workflow coordination across the Client Service team. The focus of this position is to enhance operational consistency, improve communication across departments, and ensure that our clients receive an exceptional, high-touch experience aligned with Kilter Group’s standards. The Wealth Advisor will maintain their own client relationships while supporting the organization and execution of the Client Service team’s responsibilities. They will work closely with Client Service Executives, Private Wealth Planners, Advisors, and the Director of Operations & Compliance to ensure that client commitments are clearly defined, properly documented, and completed in a timely manner. The client component of this role is intentionally structured to maintain engagement in real-time execution while ensuring workflow integrity, team accountability, and cross-department coordination. This role is accountable for ensuring task capture accuracy, completion velocity, and workflow transparency across all client tiers. The Wealth Advisor will play an important role in reinforcing firm processes, strengthening CRM task management and documentation standards, identifying workflow gaps, and supporting the professional growth of the Client Service team. While this is not a formal managerial position, the role requires maturity, strong communication skills, and the ability to foster accountability and collaboration across teams. Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or investment advisory.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or equivalent advanced industry designation required (such as CFA®, CPA); additional credentials are a plus.
  • Proven track record of managing high-net-worth client relationships and delivering comprehensive planning strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, including transitioning and growing an existing book of business.
  • Proven ability to deliver extraordinary client service through professional excellence, the highest ethical standards, and the effective use of available resources.
  • Deep expertise across investments, tax planning, estate planning, and complex financial structures.
  • Experience with portfolio reporting and CRM systems, such as Tamarac, Orion, or Black Diamond.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts and build trust.
  • Strong client-centric mindset with a desire to contribute to a growing, next-generation firm.
  • Superior organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to improving accuracy of data and preventing errors.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote work environment while maintaining high accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead advisor on client relationships.
  • Deliver comprehensive wealth management advice, integrating investment, tax, estate, and risk planning strategies.
  • Build deep, long-term relationships through a high-touch, concierge-level service model.
  • Navigate complex client situations, including multi-generational wealth, business ownership, and sophisticated estate structures.
  • Transition and grow an existing book of business within the Kilter Group platform.
  • Actively source and develop new client relationships through personal networks, introductions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Partner with firm leadership on growth initiatives and client acquisition strategies.
  • Represent Kilter Group externally as a trusted voice in wealth management.
  • Develop and implement customized financial plans aligned with client goals and evolving circumstances.
  • Provide guidance on tax-efficient strategies, estate and legacy planning, retirement planning, and liquidity events.
  • Collaborate with external professionals (CPAs, attorneys, etc.) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Partner with the investment team to align portfolios with client objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Communicate investment strategy, performance, and market insights to clients with clarity and confidence.
  • Ensure seamless execution of financial plans through collaboration with internal teams.
  • Contribute to the firm’s culture of excellence, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a resource for complex client cases and planning strategies across the firm.
  • Uphold the highest standards of compliance, ethics, and fiduciary responsibility.
