Requirements

  • Successful salesperson with strong industry experience interested in using their existing network to establish a practice at CC&L Private Capital
  • Experienced in client servicing and be able to step into this role immediately with clients of the firm as needed
  • Open to training and coaching and gaining success more quickly as a result
  • Fit within our entrepreneurial spirited culture and work well alongside colleagues
  • An aptitude for business development, sales and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and a high level of integrity
  • Natural relationship building and networking skills
  • Great communicator with excellent presentation abilities
  • Deep understanding of financial markets and investment management
  • Ability to guide clients in an investment suitability assessment
  • An interest to build an asset with unlimited upside with significant autonomy
  • Five to ten years of related industry experience
  • Preference of having current registration or confidence to gain AAR or CRM-AR registration with the appropriate Securities Commissions on hire
  • Undergraduate degree: CIM + 2 years Registered Investment Management Experience or CFA required

Responsibilities

  • Building your own practice of new clients through appropriate business development activities sourced from within your ever-growing network
  • Building and maintaining relationships with lawyers, accountants, and other centres-of-influence, including independent financial advisors as referral partners
  • Maintaining client relationships throughout varying market and performance conditions by providing clients with proactive and exceptional service
  • Establishing immediate credibility with successful, sophisticated high net worth clients when assessing suitability, guiding asset allocation, conveying asset class understanding, leading wealth planning, and other financial advisory conversations
