Wax Specialist (Licensed Cosmetologist or Esthetician)
About The Position
A Wax Specialist at European Wax Center, employed by UPMA Group, provides full-body waxing services for women and men using the company’s proprietary comfort wax and techniques. The role requires an active Texas Esthetician or Cosmetologist license and comfort performing face and body waxing services. Brazilian waxing for male guests is optional and requires specialized advanced training. New hires begin as “Hub-lets,” learning from Regional Wax Trainers in a collaborative, high-energy classroom environment. Specialists educate guests about waxing frequency and recommend proprietary products for at-home care. They also keep their wax suite clean, sanitized, and stocked in accordance with Texas TDLR safety and health procedures. The role offers technical and leadership career paths, including opportunities to advance into training or center management. Scheduling is dynamic and includes a variety of shifts. Specialists must work at least one full weekend day—Saturday or Sunday—each week.
Requirements
- Hold a current Texas Esthetician or Cosmetologist license.
- Be open and comfortable performing all face and body waxing services for male and female guests.
- Be hardworking, honest, punctual, coachable, and eager to master new techniques through training.
Nice To Haves
- Willingness to perform Brazilian waxing services for male guests; this is optional and requires specialized advanced training.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality full-body waxing services for women and men using European Wax Center’s proprietary techniques.
- Participate in new-hire training with Regional Wax Trainers.
- Educate guests about waxing frequency and recommend proprietary products for maintaining results at home.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and fully stocked wax suite in compliance with Texas TDLR safety and health procedures.
- Work a variety of shifts and at least one full weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) every week.
