Responsible for allocating orders, releasing work to warehouse floor, balancing workflow, and ensuring inbound and outbound truck turn times are within acceptable levels. This role involves resolving order product shortages, managing order cuts, and communicating with customers. The Wave Planner will release work to the work queue to maximize interleaving, productivity, and carrier turn times, while also prioritizing individual Lift Truck Operator (LTO) tasks and dock supervisor tasks. Ensuring the dock office utilizes inbound and outbound dock optimization functionality for each receipt and order is crucial. The role also includes running and reviewing labor reports, updating base priorities, LTO home work zone assignments, product code velocity zone assignments, and optimal pick locations with management. Active participation in continuous improvement projects and safety programs is expected, along with evaluating system effectiveness and recommending changes. Troubleshooting and correcting systems problems, and training users on relevant systems are also key responsibilities. The position requires adherence to the attendance policy, showing up on time for the assigned shift, and performing other duties as requested.
