About The Position

Madden's is an award-winning resort seeking Watersport Instructors for the 2026 season. The role involves supervising guests and employees with ski instruction, wakeboarding instruction, wake surfing instruction, and water taxi rides, while strictly enforcing all water safety policies and procedures. Requirements

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.
Must be able to keep a calm, professional manner under stressful situations.
Maintains a proactive “Can Do” attitude.
Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
Regular and reliable attendance.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the Brainerd Lakes area is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise all guests and employees while on company watercraft at all times to ensure their safety.
Administer first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises.
Assist in organizing ski instruction and other lessons for guests and employees as directed by the department manager.
Maintain cleanliness of Madden’s operations according to established daily maintenance procedures.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of department programs, events, and activities, and answer guest questions regarding them.
Record all cash, check, and charges based on established cash control procedures.
Maintain understanding of operating procedures for tennis, croquet, lawn bowling, bikes, boats, and rental equipment.
Complete checklists for opening, closing, and daily procedures.
Take direction from the Recreation Director.
Assist in the implementation of programs, special events, and conference recreation events, such as scavenger hunts and team building programs.
Provide a safe environment within facilities and activities.
Process recreation passes as needed.
Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
Maintain the water park and ensure that it is functional at all times.
Perform duties as a marina attendant as scheduled.
