About The Position
A multidisciplinary architectural, engineering, and construction firm is seeking a Waterproofing Consultant to expand its service offerings in roofing and wall design engineering, as well as construction defect litigation support. The position is based at the firm's Charlotte, North Carolina office. The consultant provides technical expertise in roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems; manages repair and reconstruction projects; supports litigation efforts; and helps develop new business opportunities through local attorney and insurance adjuster relationships.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a closely related discipline.
- Expertise in roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems.
- Experience in repair and reconstruction, design, and project management for apartments, condominiums, and commercial and government buildings.
Nice To Haves
- A Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems for the design and oversight of technical work.
- Manage repair and reconstruction projects for apartments, condominiums, commercial buildings, and government buildings.
- Support litigation efforts through mediation, deposition, arbitration, and trial, with a focus on plaintiff support.
- Use local attorney and insurance adjuster networks to develop new business opportunities and grow the firm's service offerings.
