About The Position

The Waterpark Manager is responsible for the overall operation, safety, and guest experience of the waterpark facility. This role oversees daily activities, team performance, and compliance with all safety regulations while fostering a fun, safe, and engaging environment for guests and employees. This position may require flexible scheduling availability

Requirements

  • Previous experience in waterpark, aquatics, or hospitality management preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Proven experience in staff training and team development
  • Commitment to guest safety and positive guest experiences
  • Ability to remain alert, focused, and calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO), or equivalent required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
  • Capable of lifting and moving equipment as needed
  • Ability to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the waterpark, including attractions and pools
  • Ensure all areas are clean, functional, and operating efficiently
  • Monitor attendance levels and adjust staffing and operations accordingly
  • Manage budgets, inventory, and operational resources
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new employees
  • Develop and deliver training programs for new hires and existing staff
  • Ensure all employees are properly trained in customer service, safety procedures, and emergency protocols
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and team development
  • Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and local/state regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections of rides, pools, and equipment
  • Lead emergency response efforts and ensure staff readiness
  • Maintain accurate incident reports and implement corrective actions
  • Promote a culture of safety for both staff and guests
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Enhance the overall guest experience through programming and engagement initiatives
