About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Waterpark Coordinator. In this role, you will assist the Waterpark management team with administrative duties, maintaining breaks, and report of information to centralize departmental operations. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll help ensure the daily operation of the waterpark runs smoothly by supporting associates, maintaining operational standards, and assisting with guest needs. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety and service help create a fun, seamless, and memorable experience for every guest while fostering a well-organized and supportive environment for the team.

Requirements

  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Must have the ability to present information in one-on-one, small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates and corporate executives of the Resort.
  • Must have excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Must have strong computer skills to including Internet, Word, Kronos, and Excel.
  • 1 year of experience in administrative role preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a position within a large waterpark, recreational facility, or administrative office is helpful.
  • Basic knowledge of administrative duties is helpful.
  • Knowledge of waterpark operations and staffing are helpful.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Lifeguard experienced preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Must be effective in handling problems in stressful, high-pressure situations, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by Associates, Supervisors, Department Heads, Senior Management, and guests.
  • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.
  • Make independent decisions while maintaining strong ethical standards consistent with company policy, rules and the ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger. Collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment that is constantly changing based on room occupancy, group and local business.
  • Participate in Daily Promise shift meetings.
  • Maintain all schedules for the waterpark.
  • Process all purchase orders and invoices daily in accordance with resort policies.
  • Assist in tracking and forecasting weekly labor utilizing available Kronos reports.
  • Responsible for all new associate departmental orientations and the explanation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, maintain, and recommend course of action pertaining to attendance records and departmental personnel files.
