About The Position

Consor Engineers is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to join its Tennessee office. The position is intended for graduate students pursuing a master’s degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline who want hands-on experience with municipal water and wastewater treatment projects. Working alongside experienced engineers, the intern will support the planning, design, and evaluation of treatment facilities and contribute to technical analyses, reports, and design efforts while gaining exposure to treatment processes, facility operations, and multidisciplinary project delivery. The internship provides exposure to municipal treatment projects and a foundation for a career in water and wastewater engineering. The role operates in a hybrid setting split between office and field environments. It routinely involves standard office equipment and may occasionally involve exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project needs. Physical activities include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, and hearing; occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling; and occasional operation of a company vehicle and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 35 pounds. The company describes career development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package, with eligibility for some benefits depending on full-time status or hours worked. The role requires successful completion of applicable pre-employment substance screening and background checks.
