About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Construction Inspector to inspect and report on water distribution, sanitary sewer, and pump station projects. The inspector acts on behalf of the Owner to inspect contractors’ construction work and plans and carries out testing, inspection, monitoring, and reporting activities full-time on site. The role also maintains complete and accurate project records and documents property damage or personal injury accidents on site. This position is part of Parsons’ Critical Infrastructure team, which plans, designs, builds, and modernizes infrastructure intended to connect and protect communities and improve quality of life, economic growth, mobility, sustainability, and resiliency.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years of related experience on field projects.
Formal certification from an independent organization may be required depending on the type of inspection assignment.
Valid driver’s license and transportation available for work.

Nice To Haves

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, E-Builder (Trimble Unity Construct), and Proliance.
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Inspect sanitary sewer and water main projects daily and/or nightly.
Act on behalf of the Owner to inspect contractors’ construction work on facilities and projects.
Plan and perform testing, inspection, monitoring, and reporting of contractors’ work full-time on site.
Maintain complete and accurate records of project activities and events.
Document property damage and personal injury accidents occurring on site.
