About The Position

HDR is hiring a Water/Wastewater EIT/Coordinator for its Water Business Group. The role supports the design of water and wastewater treatment and collection systems under the direction of a Project Engineer. Work includes preparing plans, specifications, analyses, and study-level reports; determining design methods; sizing and selecting equipment; working directly with owners; and reviewing completed designs for quality. The position contributes to projects involving safe drinking water, responsible wastewater treatment, sustainable water supplies, flood control, public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Commitment to actively participating in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without an EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems and collection systems under instruction from the Project Engineer.
• Prepare plans, specifications, analyses, and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection systems.
• Determine appropriate design methods and equipment sizing and selection.
• Work directly with the owner.
• Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
