About The Position

HDR is hiring a Water/Wastewater EIT/Coordinator in its Water Business Group. The role contributes to water and wastewater infrastructure projects that support public health, environmental sustainability, and community resilience. Under the instruction of a Project Engineer, the position develops designs and plans for water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection systems; prepares specifications and technical reports; and works directly with owners. The role also conducts quality control reviews of completed designs and performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• An attitude and commitment to actively participating in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without an EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and expected to obtain the EIT for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems and collection systems under instruction from the Project Engineer.
• Prepare plans and specifications for water and wastewater systems, and write analysis and study-level reports for treatment, distribution, and collection systems.
• Determine appropriate design methods and equipment sizing and selection.
• Work directly with the owner.
• Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
