About The Position
Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is a growing, employee-owned consulting firm seeking a Water/Wastewater Design Engineer for its new San Antonio office. This role will focus on the water/wastewater market and will be responsible for engineering design using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments. Requirements
- Knowledge of general engineering principles and practices
- Ability to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments
- Proficiency in design software and drawing tools
- Ability to assist with developing project quantities for construction cost estimate
- Ability to assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction
- Eligible for TN visa classification (Immigration sponsorship is not available for other visa types)
Responsibilities
- Assist with alternative studies
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to complete a task
- Perform design computations
- Assist in designing projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
- Assist with developing the project quantities for construction cost estimate
- Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction
- Perform other related duties as assigned
