About The Position

The Water Truck Driver loads and unloads materials and delivers them to, from, and within work sites as required. The role involves operating medium to large trucks on company work sites, private roads, and public highways. A commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required. This is an intermediate-level position.

Requirements

Must possess a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
May require a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in the field or a related area.
Must have working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management and supervision.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.
Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
Must have all required tools.
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload.
Must comply with safety and project rules.

Responsibilities

Operate medium to large trucks to transport materials between company work sites on private roads and public highways.
Load and unload trucks, using other equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
Secure cargo for transport using rope, blocks, or covers.
Obtain proper and complete documentation before moving materials.
Collect delivery instructions, verify instructions, and confirm routes.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections and report defects, damage, or needed repairs.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as adding oil, fuel, or fluids.
Maintain logs of working hours or vehicle maintenance in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.
Observe and comply with safety and project rules.
Perform other duties as required.
