About The Position

Garratt-Callahan is seeking a Water Treatment Chemical Service Technician for the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. This role focuses on sales support by maintaining the existing customer base, primarily in the greater Baton Rouge and Central Louisiana area, with a significant focus on data centers. The position offers the flexibility of working from home and the opportunity to train alongside veteran Territory Managers. The career path for a Chemical Service Technician is to become a Territory Manager, who is eligible for unlimited commission and a year-end bonus. Compensation is based on experience and the ability to succeed, with a projected first-year earning of $80,000 to $100,000 for a qualified candidate. Requirements

Technical degree such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Paper Science, or Water Resources.
Must live in Baton Rouge, or very nearby, and be familiar with the industrial marketplace of the area.
Three or more years in water treatment chemical industry is preferred, but we are willing to train and mentor.

Responsibilities

Sales support by maintaining the existing customer base in Louisiana.
Perform water treatment tests at existing customers primarily in the greater Baton Rouge and Central Louisiana area.
Working at data centers will be a real focus for this position.
Solve customers' water problems.
Treat industrial boilers and cooling towers to keep energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
Perform detailed water testing & analyses at Industrial sites, Manufacturers, Data Centers, Medical Centers, and Commercial Buildings.
Help sell Garratt-Callahan's proprietary chemical blends, equipment, & monitoring technology.
Passivation of stainless steel in industrial water treatment systems.
Help sell corrosion & scale inhibitors, coagulants, flocculants, biocides, bio-augmentation, feed & monitoring equipment, water management plans, reverse osmosis products.
Help sell Water Safety Programs.
Keep our existing customers happy.
Help bring on new industrial customers.
