About The Position

The Doe Run Company, a privately held natural resources company and a global provider of lead, copper, and zinc concentrates, is seeking a Water & Sweeper Truck Operator. With 160 years of history, Doe Run is dedicated to environmentally responsible mineral and metal production. This day shift position is located at The Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, MO. The operator will perform grounds housekeeping operations to maintain a safe, clean environment that meets environmental standards. Doe Run operates the Resource Recycling facility, one of the world’s largest, single-site lead recycling centers, and six operating mines in Missouri. The company also has operations in Washington and Arizona, delivering products and services necessary to provide power, protection, and convenience.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • One year of experience operating a water truck, sweeper truck or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of plant layout and traffic routes.
  • Knowledge of fueling procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a truck wash, water truck, and sweeper truck to spread water and sweep grounds.
  • Perform pre-shift inspection of truck.
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment, including tightening, lubricating, and cleaning equipment.
  • Ensure tire wash is operating properly.
  • Fill in as necessary for Yard Equipment Operator; safely operate yard equipment and assist with cleanup.
  • Assist in other facility operations when air temperature is below freezing or raining.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
