About The Position

Digital Room is hiring a Water Spider for its plant in Van Nuys, California. This role supports production and the Bindery department by managing waste and recycling, moving and staging materials, keeping the production floor clear and orderly, and helping Cutter Operators as needed. The position is scheduled for the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Required overtime may be needed based on business needs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and coworkers.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to multitask as priorities change.
• Ability to recognize safety issues and take corrective action.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for 50% of the time.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours.
• Ability to walk and move around the work area for 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Remove label and vinyl waste from the production floor and check paper recycling bins for label or vinyl waste.
• Move pallets of FedEx Ground off the production floor and into the FedEx trailer.
• Organize Bindery jobs by sorting and staging them in the correct area according to department and due date.
• Assist Cutter Operators with jogging paper when needed.
• Sweep the production floor and keep aisles free of obstructions.
• Report workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and free of safety hazards.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Work required overtime based on business needs.
