About The Position

Digital Room is hiring a Water Spider for its plant in Van Nuys, California. This role supports production and the Bindery department by handling waste, moving pallets, sorting and staging jobs, assisting Cutter Operators, and maintaining a clean, orderly, safe production floor. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. (second shift). The position may require overtime based on business needs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and coworkers.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to multitask as priorities change.
• Ability to recognize safety issues and corrective actions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for 50% of the time.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours.
• Ability to walk and move around the work area for 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Remove label and vinyl waste from the production floor and check paper recycling bins for label or vinyl waste.
• Move pallets of FedEx Ground from the production floor into the FedEx trailer.
• Sort and stage Bindery department jobs in the correct area by department and due date.
• Assist Cutter Operators with jogging paper when needed.
• Sweep the production floor and keep aisles free of obstructions.
• Immediately report workplace hazards to management.
• Ensure equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and free of safety hazards.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Be available for required overtime based on business needs.
