About The Position

This Summer 2027 Internship opportunity is for individuals who enjoy working on dynamic projects globally and are looking for a chance to apply their education and develop their skills with a company known for technical excellence. Interns will gain real-world engineering experience supporting mining and infrastructure projects, receive mentorship from experienced engineers, learn industry-standard software and practices, and have opportunities to support projects across North America and internationally.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Students entering their junior year, senior year, or graduate studies are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interest in developing engineering and technical skills in a consulting environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and deliver quality work.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and solve problems effectively.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in learning civil engineering fundamentals, surveying, drafting, and construction practices.
  • Interest in learning to read and understand construction engineering plans and drawings, including sheet references and layering.
  • Ability to travel to project and field locations as needed.
  • Experience with Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

  • Design major earthwork projects such as tailings dams, heap leach facilities and ancillary works.
  • Prepare civil layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Produce design reports and assist with proposals.
  • Participate in field investigations and construction Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) activities.
  • Contribute to geotechnical analyses and engineering evaluations.
  • Support permitting, reclamation and closure activities.
