About The Position

Barr is seeking a senior water resources consultant focused on mine water management to join the team as a mine water practice lead. The role supports mining clients, as well as clients in heavy industry and power generation, through technical work and project or task management on multidisciplinary teams. It may be performed in a hybrid arrangement, splitting time between a Barr office and home office, or remotely, primarily from a home office. Hybrid locations include Barr offices in Denver, Colorado; Duluth, Hibbing, or Minneapolis, Minnesota; Bismarck, North Dakota; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Salt Lake City, Utah. Remote arrangements depend on candidate qualifications, local regulations, and Barr’s needs. The position involves technical leadership in mine water management, client advising, and collaboration across project teams. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; project or task management capabilities; and a cooperative, self-initiated approach. The role may involve working at outdoor construction or mining sites with rough terrain, limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Candidates must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodation. The anticipated annual compensation range is $115,000–$175,000, depending on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance. The position is classified as exempt (salaried) under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
