About The Position

Barr is seeking a senior water resources consultant focused on mine water management to join its team as a mine water practice lead. In this hybrid or potentially remote role, the consultant will work with multidisciplinary project teams, providing project and/or task management and technical support primarily for mining clients, as well as clients in heavy industry and power generation. The position is based out of Barr’s Calgary office; remote arrangements may be considered based on candidate qualifications, local regulations, and Barr’s needs. The successful candidate will lead technical analyses, advise clients on mine water management strategies, coordinate and potentially lead project teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development. The role calls for strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, proven task or project management skills, and a cooperative, self-initiated approach in a high-energy environment. The work may involve locations with rough terrain typical of construction or mining outdoor sites, limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Candidates must be able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada without current or future sponsorship from Barr Ltd. The anticipated annual compensation range is $150,000–$200,000, varying based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance.
