About The Position

Roto-Rooter Services Company is hiring a Water Jetting Technician to serve commercial and residential customers from its Indianapolis branch in Fishers, Indiana. The role addresses challenging drain-cleaning and preventive-maintenance issues using high-pressure water-jetting equipment. It also supports business development by visiting prospective commercial customers and offering preventive-maintenance agreements. The position operates a truck and water-jetting system, performs line locating and service work, and provides repair estimates. It also involves recording and calculating weekly receipts, invoices, and expenses with branch accounting personnel, and maintaining the truck and equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Good written and oral communication skills in English for effective customer service.
Valid driver’s license.
A DOT license is required for branches using a pull-behind jet machine.
Ability to grasp, push, and pull hose, and to squat, bend, and twist to operate the water-jetting system safely and effectively.
Manual dexterity to use basic tools such as a screwdriver, wrench, and hammer.

Responsibilities

Service commercial and residential customers by resolving drain-cleaning and preventive-maintenance issues using high-pressure water-jetting equipment.
Locate lines, provide repair estimates, and perform service work.
Visit target commercial customers to offer preventive-maintenance agreements and help build the commercial customer base.
Operate the truck and control the water-jetting system using levers and pedals.
Document and compute weekly receipts, invoices, and expenses with branch accounting personnel.
Maintain the truck by recharging batteries, filling the fuel tank, and cleaning vehicle parts and equipment.
