About The Position

Roto-Rooter Services Company is hiring a Water Jetting Technician to serve commercial and residential customers from its Denver branch. The commission-based position has an advertised earning range of $50,000–$95,000. The technician uses high-pressure water-jetting equipment to address challenging drain-cleaning and preventive-maintenance issues, and helps grow the commercial customer base by offering preventive-maintenance agreements to prospective customers. Applicants are accepted for approximately 30 days.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Good written and oral communication skills in English for effective customer service.
Valid driver’s license.
A DOT license is required for branches using a pull-behind jet machine.
Ability to grasp, push, and pull hose; squat, bend, and twist to operate the water-jetting system safely and effectively.
Manual dexterity to use basic tools such as a screwdriver, wrench, and hammer.

Responsibilities

Service current commercial and residential customers using high-pressure water-jetting equipment to resolve drain-cleaning and preventive-maintenance issues.
Locate lines, provide repair estimates, and perform the service.
Visit prospective commercial customers to offer preventive-maintenance agreements and help build the commercial customer base.
Operate the truck and water-jetting system using levers and pedals.
Document and compute weekly receipts, invoices, and expenses with branch accounting personnel.
Maintain the truck by recharging batteries, filling the fuel tank, and cleaning vehicle parts and equipment.
