About The Position

Parabit Systems is seeking a Water Jet Operator to provide accurate and consistent parts in a timely and cost-effective manner while meeting company quality standards and expectations. The role involves operating a CNC water jet machine for quantity production of identical units, monitoring production and equipment, and working with manufacturing personnel to maintain product quality and consistent output. Candidates must pass a NON-DOT drug screening, background checks, and a personal assessment prior to employment.

Requirements

Knowledge of machinery and/or tools.
Mechanical ability.
Ability to work with manufacturing personnel to maintain product quality and consistent output.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for periods of up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
Ability to make repetitive movements, including sitting and squatting.
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
Basic program-reading skills using MS Windows applications, including downloading files.
Fundamental understanding of M and G codes.
Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
Must pass a NON-DOT drug screening, criminal and credit background checks, a driver license check, and a personal assessment prior to employment.

AutoCAD experience.

Responsibilities

Program and operate a 55,000 lbs. CNC water jet machine from Jet Edged.
Start and stop the machine, load and feed it, and monitor its operation.
Monitor production quality and perform product and machine verifications and inspections.
Maintain equipment performance and alert a supervisor when repairs are needed.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Work in a team environment.
Complete the proper transactions for each job.
Label material with correct descriptions.
Meet or exceed client specifications outlined on the manufacturing order.
Ensure jobs and materials are of good quality.
Perform other general machine operation tasks or responsibilities assigned by supervisors.
