About The Position

ServiceMaster Cleaning & Restoration in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Part-Time Water, Fire and Mold Technician. This role is ideal for individuals with construction knowledge and experience looking to learn a new career. You will assist Certified Water Technicians in performing restoration and specialized cleaning. Proven apprentices will have the opportunity for company-paid training and certification under IICRC guidelines, potentially leading to a company truck, increased responsibilities, and higher pay after six months with a proven track record. Our company specializes in emergency cleanup after fire and water losses, mold remediation, carpet cleaning, and bio-hazard cleanup. A certified water technician must be able to calculate drying equipment needs and utilize the company's Drying Workbook software to track progress. This job is physically demanding but rewarding, offering variety in daily locations and opportunities to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of using basic hand tools.
  • Knowledge of best practices in the construction industry.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Physically able to lift objects weighing 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
  • Willingness to work long hours at times, occasional evenings and weekends, and some overtime.
  • Must be a team player, but able to work alone when necessary.
  • Ability to problem solve and learn new aspects of the job.
  • Self-motivated and clean cut.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good math skills.
