About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Engineer to join our Water Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC. This role offers a great opportunity to be part of a thriving team of young engineers and to work on national and international projects. Your role will involve applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of somewhat diversified tasks requiring analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning. You will prepare assigned sections of reports under the close review of an experienced professional, perform data acquisition and analysis, research the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations. Additionally, you will prepare material for reports and permit applications, gather information, write outlines, and prepare work progression documents and graphic presentations. The role also includes performing engineering calculations, field observations of construction where appropriate, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.
  • Completion of bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET accredited college/university.
  • PC skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in the use of the following software desired but not required: ArcGIS, Microstation, AutoCad, HEC-HMS, WaterGEMS, SWMM, Infoworks ICM and HEC-RAS.
  • E.I. or EIT preferred.

Responsibilities
