About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Engineer to join our Water Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC. Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of somewhat diversified tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning. Prepare assigned sections of reports working under the close review of an experienced professional. Perform data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations. Prepare material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing outlines, and/or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations. Perform engineering calculations. Perform field observations of construction where appropriate. Perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary

Requirements

  • 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.
  • Completion of bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET accredited college/university.
  • PC skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in the use of the following software desired but not required: ArcGIS, Microstation, AutoCad, HEC-HMS, WaterGEMS, SWMM, Infoworks ICM and HEC-RAS.
  • E.I. or EIT preferred.
