About The Position

The Water Conservation Program Specialist – Rebates role helps to educate the public on water conservation, drought information, and rebate programs by performing field inspections, attending outreach events, and liaising with Aurora Water customers. Aurora Water's Mission Statement is to enhance and protect the quality of life for Aurora citizens by providing safe, dependable and sustainable water, sewer and stormwater services, today and in the future.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
At least 2 years of experience in customer service
Knowledge of conflict management and communication strategies for interacting with the public
Must exhibit strong customer service skills, interpersonal communications and collaboration skills
Must be proficient at Microsoft Office Suite
Must be proficient at time management and planning for task efficiency
Must be organized and detail-oriented
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to stay self-motivated and on-task
Ability to maintain a positive attitude when interacting with customers in a variety of situations
Driver’s license with a good driving history

A general knowledge of water conservation principles
A general knowledge of water-wise landscape principles
A general knowledge of irrigation system principles

Responsibilities

Assist the Conservation Rebates Program Manager with administrative duties
Communicate with customers via phone and email regarding rebate processes
Attend water conservation outreach events
Perform landscape rebate inspections
Respond to customer inquiries pertaining to rebate programs and general water conservation information
Assist with outreach to multifamily and commercial customers
Perform additional duties as assigned
