Wastewater Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift - Hutchinson, KS
About The Position
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This facility operates seven days a week and produces Bacon Toppings and Tacos. Leveling (pay) is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience. We are offering a $5000 sign on bonus for new hires. The bonus is paid out in $2500 following completion of 90 days and $2500 at completion of 180 days. Rehires are not eligible for sign on bonus.
Requirements
- 1 year industrial maintenance experience and/or industrial maintenance education combined.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able and willing to move from one area of production to another.
- Must be able and willing to lift and carry 50 pounds or more.
- Team Member will stand, stoop, bend, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, and squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull and move about the facility or working in unsanitary conditions.
- Team Member will work in various temperatures ranging between 28 and 100 plus degrees.
- Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of control voltage, pneumatics, hydraulics, and 3 phase wiring is helpful to perform repairs and maintenance on processing production lines and auxiliary equipment.
- Wastewater experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on production and plant equipment.
- Perform single phase and 3 phase electrical trouble shooting and repairs on production and plant equipment.
- Perform operation and maintenance of wastewater collection system, or wastewater pre-treatment system.
- Perform fabrication and welding job duties as needed.
- Read and follow instructions and complete required paperwork.
- Wear necessary safety equipment.
- Read electrical schematics.
- Work with hazardous chemicals.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Communicate effectively to all levels of team member including mgt.
