About The Position

Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Wastewater Electrician. The Wastewater Electrician reports to the Utility Supervisor. The primary functions of this position include: Monitoring, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment across wastewater collections lift stations and reclaim distribution systems Troubleshooting electrical systems and performing preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation (I&C) systems Generating and managing work orders for electrical and I&C systems using Lucity Partnering with the Engineering team on the design, construction, and commissioning of department systems Preparing monthly reports and supporting various projects involving electrical systems. This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime compensation. Employment with the Town of Gilbert is at-will.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of specialized or technical training beyond high school in electrical systems integration and system control wiring
  • 4 years of experience in electrical construction and general electrical service
  • 2 years of experience in electrical control wiring
  • 5 years Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License
  • ADEQ Grade I Water Distribution or Wastewater Collections Certification within 1 year of hire
