The main responsibility of the Wastewater Technician oversees the daily processes of the tank wash under the direction of the Terminal Manager while following all company safety policies, procedures and environmental requirements. Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with DHEC regulations regarding the existing “pump & haul permit” currently in place.
  • Ensure daily boiler test requirements required by Total Clean and DHEC are complied with.
  • Work with dispatch and tank cleaners to schedule cleaning of tank equipment to best utilize chemical and manpower resources.
  • Must be in contact via email and phone with both internal and external customers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Report any safety and performance issues to Terminal Manager and/or Operations Supervisor.
  • Oversee all the safety aspects at the Tank Wash.
  • Reads and follow plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
  • Perform non-permit confined space entries for inspections and sometimes cleaning.
  • Perform parts removal and replacement on customer’s equipment.
  • Perform proper selection of cleaning methods for the products that are cleaned.
  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs of cleaning equipment.
  • Monitor the strengths of cleaning solutions.
  • This position couples and uncouples tractors/trailers.
  • This position drives a yard tractor, moving units to specified areas.
