About The Position

This position at Pilgrim's involves coordinating projects and communicating results of finished projects. It includes performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment and system malfunctions, and conducting training and mentoring for new utility technicians. The role also involves monitoring and regulating energy output, ensuring the proper functioning and safety of utility systems such as water and gas lines, electrical power grids, and telecommunications networks. Responsibilities include cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and repairing machinery and equipment, as well as disassembling machinery to inspect for defects and replace compromised components. Studying blueprints and manufacturer's manuals is essential for determining correct installation and operation of machinery. The position actively follows regulatory agency compliance requirements, supports company and departmental goals, and promotes quality improvement and operating principles. The role requires active pursuit of personal growth and career development through self-initiative. It involves determining if immediate maintenance action is required and escorting on-site contractors, vendors, guests, or visitors throughout the facility as needed. The role provides expertise in assessing utility systems and identifying all aspects of utility-related issues.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related industrial operations experience.
  • Exhibits understanding of governmental regulations including environmental permitting/compliance, loading /quality assurance, basic electricity, national/local operating procedures, CMMS, maintenance management process, all HSE issues associated with the facility.
  • Exhibits mechanical ability.
  • Ability to learn/follow national/local standard operating procedures.

  • Performs all work in compliance with standard operating/maintenance procedures, utilizing current Life Saving Rules, Safe Start and safety requirements including safe work permits, energy control isolation, IDLs, confined space entry work, hot work, work plans, pre-job discussions, plant safety inspections.
