About The Position
This position performs operational maintenance on all water treatment systems, monitors the wastewater treatment plant, identifies needed changes and potential problems, and makes necessary adjustments. The role involves performing chemical analysis of water samples, cleaning drain pads, and operating a computer to monitor pump stations, plant operations, and alarms. Daily records and shift logs of plant operations are maintained, and readings from meters, computers, and instruments are reviewed. The operator will also function as a yard jockey, driving a wastewater truck, and oversee the operation of pre-treatment, rendering, and offal equipment. Cross-training and learning all tasks in the department are expected, along with performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must pass waste water truck driving test.
- Must be willing to learn all jobs in assigned area.
- Good communication skills
- Good attendance (Less than 4 Points)
- Must have good basic math skills
- Able to work without or little supervision.
- NO disciplinary write-ups in last 6 months.
- Skilled in oral and written communication
Nice To Haves
- High School or equivalent not required but beneficial.
- Bio 1 Certification
