GreenSpace Recycling•San Jose, CA
•$31 - $33•Onsite

About The Position

GreenSpace Recycling is hiring a full-time Waste Remedy Training Specialist to support onboarding and ongoing development of its San Jose Bay Area Waste Remedy team. This is a working trainer role: the specialist trains in the field on routes, modeling service at apartment communities, waste and recycling sorting, bulky-item removal, and cleanup of waste enclosures and chute rooms. The role helps ensure consistent, safe, and reliable work across routes and properties, and prepares team members to succeed from their first day onward. The schedule is a five-day workweek. Sunday, Monday, and Friday are required workdays; Saturday and one additional weekday are off. Start times are between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM. Routes are designed to take approximately 7.5 hours on an average day, but end times vary with daily route needs. The position drives a company-provided box truck and performs sustained physical work outdoors in varying weather, including handling heavy or bulky items. No CDL is required. Compensation is listed as $31.00 to $32.50 per hour in the position details; the posting also states a pay rate of $31.00 per hour. Additional recycling remuneration typically ranges from $50 to $80 per week, depending on recyclable materials collected during regular route service and current scrap prices. Benefits include paid time off under company policy and applicable state requirements, a 401(k) plan (eligibility timing is described inconsistently as after 60 days and after 180 days), and medical insurance after 90 days. Employment offers are contingent on pre-employment screenings, including insurer driving risk analysis, a motor vehicle report, drug screening, a background check, and DOT medical certification. GreenSpace covers screening and certification costs. GreenSpace Recycling is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.
