About The Position

The Waste Process Technician I is an entry level position responsible to safely perform the following fundamental tasks including but not limited to moving or off-loading inbound trucks, verify container count, loading into solidification pit, processing of material through shredding operations, assign inventory numbers and other relevant data needed for waste processing. The Waste Processing Technician I is expected to have a general mechanical understanding of waste processing equipment.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Must have a Valid Driver's License
Must exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate attention to detail and time management.
Must be computer proficient and able to operate with Microsoft Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Possess 8-hour DOT Certification Training (Or ability to complete).
Possess 10-hour OSHA Training (Or ability to complete).
Possess 8-hour HAZWOPER Training (Or ability to complete).

Responsibilities

Understand basic facility permit requirements and conduct daily activities to support all safety and compliance requirements.
Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements.
Ability to move, operate, and back in a yard dog tractor.
Administratively process inbound material / inventory using inventory tracking software and handheld scanners.
Able to off load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
De-pack materials from original manufacturers packaging and sorting contents for disposal according to disposal plan.
General cleaning of facility and grounds.
Other duties as assigned.
