About The Position

The Driver is responsible for local vehicle operations involving positioning, loading/unloading, and moving trucks and trailers on and between farms. This role requires a valid Driver's License and involves operating vehicles that may transport hazardous materials or up to 15 passengers. The position may include operating Material Handling Equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
CDL and appropriate endorsements required if operating larger vehicles
2+ years of experience operating a vehicle
Appropriate endorsements for hazardous materials (if applicable)
Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely
Willingness to learn and safely operate all company Material Handling Equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
Willingness to work in various weather conditions, both hot and cold
Ability to work overtime, weekends and holiday hours as required based on production demand

Nice To Haves

Experience in agricultural or food industry logistics
Familiarity with farm operations
Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance

Responsibilities

Operate company-owned and leased trucks
Load, unload, and/or relocate trailers, materials, parts, and/or other cargo
Provide courteous customer service during delivery and pickup operations and follow-up communications, as needed
Perform required vehicle maintenance checks, pre-trip inspections, and provide necessary reports
Maintain all required certifications for DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs
Communicate any issues or deficiencies to the appropriate department
Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve overall farm operations
May transport hazardous materials or up to 15 passengers when required
Other duties as assigned
