About The Position

Community Concierge Services is hiring part-time Trash Collectors (Porters) to run doorstep valet trash routes at an apartment community in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The role pays $30 to $45 per night, and routes average about one hour. Paid training is provided, and no prior experience is needed. The work is performed solo, without customer transactions or a supervisor alongside the porter. Paid holidays and a path to advancement are offered for reliable porters. Each evening, the porter arrives at the assigned apartment community, collects bagged trash and recycling left outside residents’ doors, loads it into the bed of their pickup truck, and transports it to the property’s compactor or dumpsters. The position involves frequent stairs and steps and being on one’s feet. Routes run Sunday through Thursday, beginning at 7 p.m. and continuing until the route is complete.

Requirements

Have an open-bed pickup truck for hauling collected trash on the property.
Have a smartphone with an active data plan for check-ins and route updates.
Be physically able to carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and handle stairs nightly.
Have dependable evening availability on a set weekly schedule, Sunday through Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. until the route is complete.

Responsibilities

Collect bagged trash and recycling left outside residents’ apartment doors.

Check in and receive route updates using a smartphone.
