Evening Waste Collector
About The Position
Community Concierge Services is hiring part-time Trash Collectors (Porters) to handle doorstep valet trash routes at an apartment community in Glen Raven, North Carolina. Collectors arrive at the assigned property, pick up bagged trash and recycling residents have left outside their doors, load it into the bed of their pickup truck, and transport it to the property’s compactor or dumpsters. The role involves frequent stairs and walking and is performed independently. Routes average about 2.5 hours per night. The regular schedule is Sunday through Thursday, beginning at 7 PM and ending when the route is complete. Pay is $45 to $70 per night. Paid training is provided, and no prior experience is needed. The posting also notes paid holidays and an advancement path for reliable porters.
Requirements
- Have an open-bed pickup truck for hauling collected trash on the property.
- Have a smartphone with an active data plan for check-ins and route updates.
- Be physically able to carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and handle stairs nightly.
- Be dependable and available Sunday through Thursday beginning at 7 PM until the route is complete.
