About The Position

The Washroom Attendant cleans and sanitizes manufactured parts in accordance with established standards. The role follows written and verbal work instructions for product specifications, handles chemicals, packages and documents products when applicable, and performs degreasing operations. The attendant also monitors equipment and work-area conditions, maintains tank operations, completes production paperwork and inspection procedures, and keeps the work area clean and organized. The position is performed in a normal production environment that may involve high noise levels, moving equipment, sharp machine parts and metal edges, fumes, dust, mist, oil, cutting fluid, and forklifts. The employee may be asked to travel between the Southwick and Westfield facilities. Physical duties may include lifting up to 30 pounds and standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, sitting, reaching overhead, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and understand work instructions.
Ability to wear a respirator as needed.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as required.
Ability to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, and/or sit for long periods.

Nice To Haves

Technical school education preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with chemicals such as acetone, IPA, and solvents.
Package, label, and document products when applicable.
Observe operations and perform regular daily maintenance on equipment and the work area.

Maintain tank operations by cleaning and filling tanks as needed.
Complete production paperwork and inspection procedures as required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
