Wash Operator - Second Shift
About The Position
The Wash Operator is an entry-level position at Dairy One Cooperative, a company dedicated to helping farms and the agricultural community succeed by providing data-driven decision-making tools. The mission of the Wash Operations Team is to ensure clean, dry, and serviceable milk sampling vials are available to field technicians six days a week. This role involves fast-paced, high-volume tasks, including operating dishwashers, preparing vials with preservative, capping them, and boxing the finished products. The focus is on meeting production and turnaround time standards safely, under supervision. Duties include washing milk sample vials, pipetting them, preparing them for reuse, and mixing simple chemical solutions.
Requirements
- Ability to meet or beat target goal quantities and times
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume throughput environment
- Ability to focus on achieving production and turnaround time standards in a safe manner
- Close mental and visual attention required for controlling machines or processes at a rapid pace requiring coordination
- Constantly uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; and performs repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists
- Regularly stands, walks, and reaches with arms and/or hands
- Occasionally stoops, crouches, and bends
- Ability to occasionally lift to 30 pounds
