About The Position

Provides day-to-day supervision and technical direction to work crews, including management of time, accuracy of all operational forms, and ensuring the safe performance of all wash bay job duties. This is a remote/rotational position, working on the North Slope of Alaska. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and the North Slope is provided.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Confined Space Entry operations as defined by OSHA Standards.
  • Knowledge of the Alaska Waste Handbook and its relevance to Wash Bay Operations.
  • Knowledge of functional operation, purpose, capabilities and limitations of any piece of equipment qualified to operate.
  • Knowledge of safe equipment operations and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain an efficient and effective alternate relationship.
  • Ability to train, direct and assess employees’ knowledge in Wash Bay operations.
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate to others information relating to safety/technical manuals, procedures, permits, JSA’s (Job Safety Analysis), PTSP cards (Pre-Task Safety Planning), safety/warning signs.
  • Ability to display sufficient oral communication skills to give and receive emergency instructions, safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments.
  • Ability to follow all company, client, safety and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
  • Ability to hear audible safety alarms and warnings.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer.
  • North Slope Red Book trained.
  • Generator trained within 90 days of start.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement and ability to be insured by Worley’s auto insurer.
  • Current DOT medical card (If applicant possesses a Class A CDL).
  • Three years of Wash Bay or like type of experience.
  • Petrochemical, oilfield or arctic experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day supervision and technical direction to work crews.
  • Schedules daily workload and assigns appropriate resources.
  • Examine work and materials for compliance with specifications.
  • Acts as mentor and provides feedback to team members and new employees.
  • Manages daily schedules and attends related meetings.
  • Accountable for safe work practices, toolbox meetings, and safety training compliance.
  • Routinely performs safety and productivity observations; Wash Bay inspections; and is required to attend various components of technical, developmental and safety training.
  • Demonstrates support for the company's environmental management system.
  • Adheres to all North Slope and Worley health, safety and environment policies and procedures at all times.
  • Performs craft job duties as required.
