About The Position

Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position(s) available in Basic Needs. This role involves supporting students who may be experiencing food/housing insecurity and/or financial hardships. The position requires excellent customer service, a passion for helping students, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, maintained during employment; must be making progress towards degree.

Nice To Haves

• Familiar with Canva, Adobe, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with or awareness of college students who have experienced food/housing insecurity and/or financial hardships or emergencies.
• Excellent customer service and passion to help and support students.
• Ability to work well in a team or individually.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality, promptness, and attendance.
• Follow through on assignments.
• Work evenings.
• Handle sensitive and/or confidential materials with good judgment.
• Accurately complete work in a timely manner with minimal/no supervision.
• Work with a diverse population.
• Multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist students in the Warrior Food Pantry.
